Distribution Lists

I received an email from a co-worker and she wants to have every single person that is listed in the To: field to be in a NEW distribution list. It contains people listed with web addresses, outside my Global Address Book, etc

I find it to be a pain that I cannot take everyone's name listed by selecting all - "Crtl+A" - and have an option to make a NEW distribution list containing those names. It says it does not recognize "Amy BXXX" as a contact. Oh - I can add someone as one person at a time, but what a pain that is. Not when you have lots and lots of names to do

Any suggestions on a easier way of tackling this
Thanks.
