Distribution Lists

When selecting members from contacts for a distribution list, some contacts cannot be selected. In other words, when I choose a contact and try to select it by clicking on members, nothing comes across into the distribution list but commas or semi-colons. I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks.
 
It sounds like you imported these contacts and did not map fields correctly.
Examine the Email field closely to see if it populated correctly. Post more
details such as your Outlook version and exactly how these problematic
Contacts were created.
