Hi -

We're using Outlook 2000, on a Win98SE build.

We recently reformatted this machine, so we saved a backup of the .pst
file, and then imported it back in after we had re-installed Outlook.
Everything imported fine, messages, contact list, etc., except....

All of our distribution lists have been lost. When we try to look at
the names on the lists, they have been truncated so that all we have
now is the first letter of each entry's name, and the first letter of
their address. 90% of these were addresses that we do not have in our
main contact list. Is there any way they can be recovered? We still
have the backup .pst file we had created.

Thanks,

Tom

Never use importing to transfer PST data. This is one reason why. DL's
barely survive a restart of Outlook, let alone an export.
Just reuse the old PST as the default in your new installation.
