Distribution List sorted by first name

I have Office XP and Windows XP Professional. In my
Contacts folder, I have my contacts filed as last name,
first name. The display as shows first name, last name (e-
mail address). When I go to set up a Distribution List
and I add names, they appear as First Name, Last Name. I
want it to be Last Name, First Name. I've researched the
problem 'til I just don't know where else to look. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
 
Sorry, but I did not see the other posts. However, I had
already done what you suggested. But to no avail. Is
there perhaps some other setting that I am overlooking? I
still have the same problem.

Did you restart the Outlook Address Book?
Did you check to see how your File As... field is constructed? That's how
Outlook will sort.
