I am using outlook 2003. Majority of my contacts do not have an email
address. When I wish to create a distribution list (literally a list to whom
maybe I would like to send wedding invitation cards), only contacts with an
email address are shown in the address book. How do I solve this problem?

A distribution list is an electronic mailing list. You don't use it for sending printed cards. Instead, mark the contacts you want to mail cards to with a category, switch to the By Category view, select all the contacts in the category, then choose Tools | Mail Merge and perform a mail merge to Word.

Distribution list are used for email distribution therefore if there is no
email address you are correct they would not appear. Unless of course you put
a dummy email address there.

You can specify a special purpose such as wedding invitation by creating a
category and adding those contacts to that category. One contact can be part
of multiple contacts. Then you can either filter the view to only see those
category or just sort the view. This will allow you to see contact for
specific puposes now you can either just print the contact list or use it to
do a mail merge for envelopes or letters.

Hope this helps
