Outlook 2007 SP2.

I want to search for messages that I send to a local distribution list,
but the Sent Items folder shows the names of the individuals in that
DL, instead of the DL group name.

I created a local distribution list called SuperHeroes123 with two
recipients. As I compose the email, the name SuperHeroes123 appears in
Bold print with a [+] next to it (unexpanded). But when I review that
same message in the Sent Items folder, the individual members are
listed as recipients (instead of the DL).

Is this a bug, or a "feature" ? I want to search through Sent Items
for the name SuperHeroes123.

Thanks,

I'm not sure I'd call it a feature, but its not a bug - its how it works.
the DL needs to be expanded for the message to get sent as the smtp server
doesn't have the DL details.

I'd make a custom view that shows messages sent to the addresses on the
message. If you use the SQL options or QueryBuilder, you can AND the
addresses together. (Querybuilder:

Diane,

That's not my issue. We have Exchange 2007 in the office. I made a
distribution list of contacts in my personal address book.
