I think I'm losing my mind. In the past, I have setup distribution
groups for temporary use, setting a property to hide them from the
global address list and then showing them when they're necessary to
use. However, I cannot find that setting anymore. The last time I
remember using it was under Win2k, but I don't think I've done this
since our servers were upgraded to Windows 2003. Does anyone know what
I might be missing--other than a few hours of sleep?

You have to enable Advanced view in AD Users and computers (View menu), and
in the properties of a DL, you will have an option to hide it from GAL
(Exchange Advanced tab).

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I remember having to do that once
before. Its these things that only happen once or twice in a blue moon
that drive me crazy. I'm getting too old for this.
