Distributing application with Access database

Hi, is it possible to distribute applications using Access database to
systems without Access installed?

I've also heard that if I do so, I have to pay for some license, is it true?
 
The JET engine is not a part of MDAC any more, so you have find a MDAC 2.5
or a seperate JET package somewhere.
The JET engine it self can be distributed at no cost. Try searching for the
JET package, it's available several places.
If you are using InstallShield to create a setup, JET is available as a
merge module.
