It is version 2003. I made a test dl list this pm and am testing that. If
that holds for a few days and does not dump the contacts that are in the
test
list I think maybe the list I am having problems with is corrupted some
way.
I understand the Update Now command to make sure you have the right
emails. I
just wanted to make sure that had nothing to do with my problem. As I make
edit changes to my contacts list they get uploaded to my MSN server, but I
dont seem to get any downloaded changes from my MSN address book to my
Outlook Contacts list. I dont know if that is related to the problem or
not.
All of my other lists seem to be holding the contacts and I am not loosing
them on exit. I have had problems with two DL that I have made from within
Outlook. My other lists that I built from within MSN have all held and
have
not lost any of the names. I just recently went from MSN email to using
Outlook as my client but it mirrors my MSN mail box.

What version of outlook?
Update now looks at the contacts in your contacts folder and makes sure
the
DL has the contact's correct email address.

I had 30 contacts in a dist. list. Recently updated it with 3 more
contacts
and when I went back in the 3 additional ones had overwritten the
original
file and now I only have 3 in there. I cant seem to recreate the old
one
by
selecting the contacts and then adding them to the DL. This seems to be
some
kind of a bug. I also dont understand the "Update Now" button in the
dist
list menu versus exit and save.
