The animations and transitions made a huge leap forward in PowerPoint 2002.
They have not changed much from 2002 to 2003. Animations can be set to
almost any time (0.1 seconds thru 3 days) . And while slide transitions are
still limited to fast/med/slow, they can be faked easily.
There is a smooth fade that fades directly from one slide to the next
(without going thru black), and this is not pixilated. The dissolve
transition is still available, but I don't have much use for it anymore.
It is worth the money to upgrade.

I'm wondering if anyone out there could tell me if the DISSOLVE animation
effects have improved between PowerPoint 2000 and 2003. I'm looking for a
SLOW dissolve that looks as unpixelated as possible. In PowerPoint 2000 the
dissolve is fast and pixelated. Is there improvement on that front with the
new version?
