In Internet Explorer 6.0.29, what options do I use so that the URL of a link
is displayed in the task bar when I hover the cursor over it? For some reason
I no longer see the URL information when I hold the cursor over a link.

Ed,

Does it display the File type, Title and Date Modified info now? To see the
URL in info tip, try this command from Start/Run dialog:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll

Nope, even ater running the command you suggested it displays nothing.

Thanks anyway!

Just out of curiosity, are you sure you've got the Status bar
enabled. That's where I see them displayed. To enable the
Status bar you'll need to click on View on the toolbar at the
top of the window and make sure it's checked in the menu that
drops down. If it's not checked, click on it.

Good luck

Also make sure Show Friendly URLs is OFF in Internet Options | Advanced ...
Browsing Section

Sorry! Thought you were referring to the InfoTip text for .URL files.
