Using FrontPage 2003:

How is it possible to create a Popup Window that has its own design to it..
and in the middle display your photos. But only a single popup... not with
the click of each picture. I want to design a window. Then with each click
(of different photos), I want the photo in the popup to change (keeping a
single popup and a single design (around the photo).

I see this type of design in many different websites and would like to
design a similar view in my website. Is this popup a frame or single html
file? Can someone help me with this concept (which I know is popular)?

Thanks for your inputs.

Go to one of the websites that do that and view the page source.

You will get something like this:

************************
onclick="more('/pop_enlarge_mypicture_01.asp','enlarge',100,100,'yes','yes')
"><img src="/images/soccer/00017_01.jpg" alt="" width="331" height="383"
border="0"></a><img src="/images/soccer/00017_01.jpg.gif" alt="" width="483"
height="383" border="0" usemap="#Map2"></td>

************************

All I really get from this is that it uses .asp which I've never used. I'm
wondering if it can be done with just frontpage. I don't use scripts...
other than some JavaScripts.

My server won't allow .asp.

I was hoping I would not have to purchase a product to accomplish this.
It's just not in the budget.

After reviewing that newsgroup, it seems that all the same guys are
responding to the different issues.
From what I've read, I'm sure I will get the same response from the same
people (as this newsgroup) .... which is to use the JAlbum product.

Jimco's stuff is charityware (free)
JAlbum is free too.

I've never seen any of Jimco stuff photogallery related.
Thanks... I'm still reviewing. Trying to get a free download of JAlbum but
not sure what all it will do.

The jimco comment was regarding creating pop-up windows...Spawn.

JAlbum is highly skinnable and easy to incorp. into FP web.

The problem with JimCo is this:
I would like a separate popup when the first photo is selected. After that,
when each photo is selected, I wan the first and only popup to reflect the
new photo. I don't want 10-popups, because 10 photos were selected.

How can you make use of a single popup for all photos?
Thanks

Use Spawn.
The window setup dialogues for spawn allow you to either:
generate a new window automatically
or use whatever name you give to the window. If you give the same
name for every window, only that single window will be used.

Okay, I didn't realize that feature existed... or at least it was not clear
to me that it works that way. That makes the Spawn process even more
powerful than I thought.

I will review this again in a few days, I'm tied up this weekend doing other
things.
Thanks again and I will update you.
