Can anyone tell me how I can display my text one bullet at a time by clicking the mouse? I don't want all the text to show at once because it will be a distraction as I'm speaking.

How to do it is different depending on which PPT version you are using. Try
this PPT FAQ page for information on how to do it in each version:

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

In PowerPoint 2002 and 2003, there is a built-in help topic that tells you
how to do this.

Simply query on "animate paragraph" and you should come up with a list of
help topics including "Animate text by letter, word or paragraph"

You have to set the animation up one bullet at a time, I
just did that for a presentation for my boss, each bullet
has to be a seperate text box then add custom animation.
