Displaying formula button in Excel

I have the "97" version and am taking a course in Excel
Office 2003. In that program, the fx button is displayed
by the formula bar. At home it isn't displayed and when I
go to Insert, then Formula, it will only give me a
Function Paste window. I need the Insert Function window
and would like to display the fx button by the formula
bar.
Please help,

Why are you posting here? This group is for basic issues with the Windows XP
OS, not programs installed thereunder (even MS ones). Please repost in the
correct place (microsoft.public.excel).
