Displaying contents of MY COMPUTER

Anytime I try to view contents of MY COMPUTER (from
Explore) it takes a inordinate amount of time - sometimes
several minutes. The same problem occurs whenever a
program tries to display or access anything on any of the
drives. Oddly, I can get immediate access to MY DOCUMENTS
from Explore or any application.

How long has it been since you defragged your HD? Try it.

didn't solve my problem. It still takes several minutes
to display content of MY COMPUTER. Any other ideas?
