Displaying attachments

Hi, I'm running Outlook 2000 under Windows 98SE. When I add attachments
to new emails they are displayed as icons in the body of the message.
But I would like them instead to display in the preview pane. How can I
do this?

Also emails I receive, display the attachments in the preview pane, but
I would like them to appear in the paperclip button. Is this possible?

I've searched the settings in Outlook but can't see where I can alter
this.

Thanks for responding Vince, but this does not really help. Does this
info from Slipstick mean that I can't customise how attachments are
displayed?
