I did sometings and now some pages do not open properly . some times the
fonts are too big and some times they are kind of jammed up into one another.
I have changed the resolution with no results.

what actions do I need to go back to default settings

Since you (and we) don't know what you did, try a System Restore to a date
before you did whatever it was you did.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
"Restore my computer to an earlier time"

Pick a date only just before the problem occurred.

for example, when this pages is loaded , the fonts are too big although I hae
set the font size to the " smallest " from the View Menu . But when I go to
like amazon.com everything is very small which is supposed to be . I read
an article in PC Magazine some time ago as to how to change the web pages so
that it is easier on the eye and loads faster and now I can not remember how
to back track that and can not find the article on the PC Mag web site
