When a workstation connects via Treminal Services the display only shows 256 colors. Is there any way to change the display settings to a higher color quality. Thanks.

Well it's getting late here and I'm tired, so forgive me if what I'm about to say is just plain wrong, but I seem to recall you need a fairly new RDP client (ver 5+?) and obviously the server console needs to be set to a higher colour depth

Hope this is accurate, and help

Ton
p.s. don't forget to check the settings in your client!

If the server is Windows 2000 Server then the only way to acheive higher that 256 colors in a session is with the addition of Citrix MetaFrame and the ICA Client. If the server is Windows Server 2003 then all you need is the Remote Desktop Client, available here

Patrick, thank for responding and giving the solution to my display problem.

Tony, thanks for your input also, it is always good to make sure the basics are covered.
