Audio volume level for what?
Well, my PC.
Actually, the "position" of the volume control that you get in the
system area to be more specific.
I'm thinking that it is probably stored in the registry somewhere, as it
remembers my setting over a reboot/logoff, so I could probably look
there, but if it is there, it's well hidden.
I'm trying to build a mechanism where a key will increase, and another
key decrease the volume level. Wizmo from Gibson Research will set the
level to anything from 0-100 but in order to know the next step up or
down I need to know where it is at the present. I've found other up/down
mechanisms (also wizmo) but they use a linear scale. My ears have
logarithmic granularity.
