I would like to be able to display the variance between 2
pivot columns. My pivot table looks kind of like this:

Year1 total Year2 Total Grand Total
1000 1000 2000

instead of the Grand Total column I would like it to
display the differwnce between year1 and year2. I can't
seem to figure out how without losing the actual data in
the year1 and year2 columns.

thanks,

Doug

Never say never.

Add the total field twice to the data region. For one of those
occurences, double click the field. In the resulting 'PivotTable
Field' dialog box, click the 'Options >>' button. Set the 'Show Data
as' dropdown to 'Difference from' and in the 'Base Item' field select
'(previous)'
