I have a user at our organization who is having problems setting his screen
resolution to 800 x 600. Each time this user re-starts his machine, XP
adjusts the resolution back to 1024 x 768. I have remoted in to this machine
and under the administrator account set the resolution to the desired 800 x
600 with no change. Is there a registry setting or something else I could
change to resolve this problem?

Why can't the user reset the resolution? Is his account limited in some
way? If so, that may be the problem.
Otherwise, please help things along by telling us the brand and model of
video card, and the installed video driver version. Is there anything
unusual about the monitor?
Some tightly controlled lan environments actually re-download user
configuration information/settings at each re-boot. If so this may be the
source of the problem.

Hi,

Suggestions without knowing more:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
