Using Excel 2007 on a Windows Vista (Home) Dell Vostro 200 machine, 2GB RAM
with 2.33 Ghz speed with a dual output video card for extended desktop
options.
While in Excel (have not noticed this behavior in other applications), the
display will sometimes go blank for a few seconds (maybe 3 to 5 seconds),
then come back on.
This is a little frustrating as the user has to stop and wait for the
display to come back on.
Steps taken so far:
1. Adjusted the screen resolution to various settings with no change
2. Changed the refresh rate with no change
3. Switched the Excel window to both displays with no change
4. Swapped system display numbers (1 and 2) with no change
5. Set Vista perfromance settings to "Adjust for Best Performance" and "Let
Widows choose what's best for my computer" with no change.
Any and all comments or suggestions on this matter will be appreciated.
Thank you.
