Hi, I heard that I can display slides on a projector
connected to my PC but still view my notes and control the
slide show from pc. Can anyone kindly explain how I can
do it? Someone mentioned about dual monitors but what is
it and how can I set up?
Thank you.

Julie: The quick and easy answer is using dual monitors. This means that you
have 2 video ouputs.
If you have a workstation, you either have 2 video boards or a single board
that has 2 or more video ports.
If you are using a laptop, you then have to have a internal video board that
can be setup for dual monitors(Each manufacture calls this something
different) or you need an external PCMCIA video board. There are a couple to
choose from..I personally like the Appian Traveler. Once you have this
configured, you either have to configure powerpoint to use dual monitors or
use a utility like PPCwin to to the setup and controlling for you.
Appian URL is http://www.appian.com/products/?page=traveler

No clue but I too have this problem - we do not want to
print out the speaker notes and carry them around on paper
and carry a lamp around - we have tried everthing we can
think of to just show the notes on the speaker's laptop
but not on the presentation screen...very frustrating
there has to be a way to do this....if you find out please
let me know..
