Hi all

I ve just done a clean install of windows 98SE on an old computer. I seem to
be stuck with a terrible display in explorer 6 which I can only describe as
being similar to the display when started in Safe Mode (if you can remember
it).

I ve checked the display settings where the largest option is 16 colours,
which I think may be the problem. I m sure there were more than that before.
Help !

Hi John,
You didn't install the Proper Video Card Driver after the clean install, try
to see the Manufacturer of your Video card and download the Latest Driver
specs for your video card and install, untill now you are on the Default MS
vedio, hence you said [ Safe Mode } looks a like screen resolutions.
Right click my Computer Icon and Select properties and click on Device
manager and scroll to your Sound and Video card and you will know the Make of
your Video card, go to the Manufacturer website and dwonload the Video card
Spec driver version.
