display settings in RDT

How do you change the remote desktop settings so that it can show true colour when you log into the box via remote desktop. as of right now my system only shows 256 colors, I want it to show 16bpp or 32 bpp. any help would be nice.
 
You will need either Citrix or Windows Server 2003's Terminal Services to
get more than 256 colors on TS. IMO Windows Server 2003 is much more worth
it
