Display Propertes

When in display properties, Can not browse to and load any
jpeg image, if i do,the whole background turns WHITE! Gifs
load ok, but not jpegs and now my internet explorer
doesn't loads the background colors from web sites. Not
the video driver,its a windows issue. Thanks, Michael MCSE

Also in IE, check Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/in the
Multimedia section, make sure "Show pictures" is checked.

Thanks for the tips, cleared the cache to no avail and
show pixs was already checked. Rebooted, no dice. I think
its a windows issue because when in Display properties, i
can choose a standard background pix, ie "Paradise" and it
will display properly if I choose STRETCH, But if I choose
CENTER or TILE, it goes completely WHITE, no pix!! Have
Service pak 4 installed and god knows what else Microsoft
has come out with.
DO I reload windows 2000 again and endure the 10 hrs of
updates, quick fixs and patches, or do I bite the bullet
and install WIN XP Pro???? All and any help is greatly
appreciated! Thanks!

There are several varieties of JPEG images (progressive, optimized,
etc etc). Are you sure the problem happens with all JPG files?
