Display problems

Hi, I don't know if my monitor is broken or my display adapter or my video card is broken. My display seems to be zoomed in a bit and has a pincushion effect(inwards) all the time. I can't see the edge of the desktop either. Any suggestions??? Many thanks in advance

Get out your monitor book and make the necessary adjustments. (Similar to TV
adjustments.)

Have tried the monitor adjustments and they make no difference to the picture. It was the first thing i tried. Thanks for your input Jerry. Any other suggestions??

Can you borrow a monitor from a friend? That will tell you if the problem is
with the monitor or the video card.
