Widows Xp exployer is not as wide as the screen. I tried to manulaly change
the settings and found that if set on the wide funtion to 100 the display
will widen completely but there is about 2" a blank area to the right of the
windows border. I have reinstalled the drivers and updated the drivers from
the manufactures web site (Nivda 64). Is there a setting to widen windows xp
hidden somewhere?

Your post is a bit hard to decipher, but if I understand you correctly
the answer is for you to adjust the settings using the *monitor*
buttons.

Thanks for your reply. This is a hard situation to descibe. I know about
the monitor manual adjustments. They work fine. The display area is
correctly sized in both width and height. However windows exployer will not
widen to the full width of the display area. Its like a box within a box.
In other words: the monitor buttons will adjust the monitor's display area
but not exployer's display area. Exployer is about 2" more narrow than the
display area. I have not found any adjustments for the exployer browser
width. Please don't suggest maximizing or changing the resolution wich is
1024 x 768. My email is (e-mail address removed). I will be happy to sketch a
picture it will help to better convey the problem.

Can you open an Explorer window and manually drag the window size to
full? I'm sorry, but I do not provide free email support for these
groups. I think your description is pretty good, but you can upload a
screenshot to a website if you have one available and post a link. Or
you may consider having a knowledgeable friend or professional take a
look.

One thing to help troubleshoot is to answer the question: was the
display always messed up like this? If not, what changed between the
time it worked correctly and the time it didn't? Are you sure that
1024x768 is the correct resolution for your screen? If you have an LCD
monitor or are talking about a laptop's screen, running the display
differently than the monitor's native setting might cause issues. Since
you didn't provide any information about your computer and the monitor,
I can't be more specific.

OK, then please answer the questions I asked you:

1. Was the display always messed up? If not, what changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't?

2. Can you "drag" the browser window to the correct size? If you can,
then do so and then close the browser by using File>Exit (or Close)
instead of the X in the right-hand top corner.
