when accessing some web pages i only see a small box witha
a red x instead of pictures or "tabs that id like to click
on" what could be my problem

Try to refresh the page and also check whether you have Java Virtual Machine installed in your computer.
Good Luck!

Because you have blocked someone who used the default e-mail address
(e-mail address removed), which happens to cover about 50% (or
more) of the posts in the news groups.

You have blocked yourself from ever seeing the 1st post of most discussions.

The reason is that the image(s), for whatever reason, have failed to download
from the site to your computer.

Among the reasons that this occurs are:

1.) The person who wrote the Web page made a typographical error whilst writing
the <IMG> tag

2.) The maintainer of the Web site has moved the image(s) to another directory
(making the <IMG> reference in the page point to a non-existent location.

3.) Somewhere along the line, the connection to the Web site "timed out".

If reason's (1) and (2) are not applicable in a given Web page, you can
right-click on the box with the red X and click "Show Picture" from the pop-up
menu. That should invoke the picture. Or, you can press F5.
