Display problems - help please

Hi,

After a routine reboot I came back into xp and now my
taskbar is black and all menus are blacked out. I see
icons but when I try to see a right click menu is it all
black. I cannot see any text due to this so I can't even
do a system restore. Is there any way to do one w/o being
in windows? I tried booting in safe mode but still same
thing. I believe the cause of this is a bad install of a
theme manager.
Please help before I go crazy. :)

I'm not at home to check these out but curious to know....
If booting in Safe Mode doesn't work, will booting into
Safe Mode Admin be any different? If not, will going to
recovery on cd and doing a %systemroot%\system32
\restore\rstrui.exe at command prompt produce any results
or do i need to keep looking for a solution?
The computer is working, just everywhere there is supposed
to be a white background there is black...hence cannot
read any text. UGH! Many thanks to Style XP for this
predicament.

Did you try safe mode with command prompt. That's a lower level.
