Hello. I've tried everything I could think of. My
display seems to have spontaneously changed to be way too
small. I can get the desktop to fill the screen, but
icons are tiny. If I open a program, like a game, the
screen it opens up in is way too small. In Word, the
program fills up the screen, but the document is shown
way too small. I have a laptop and XP. Any help would
be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Two things you can do, one is reduce the screen resolution or two increase
the font size. Open Control Panel, open Display, go to the Settings tab,
the resolution slider is on this tab or click advanced on this tab and
select "large Size" from the dropdown under DPI settings.

If text in windows is too small to read you can change
your screen resolution by opening display properties
(right click in a free space somewhere on the
desktop/click properties) click the settings tab, adjust
the resolution slide to the next res down, click OK. If
it's just the icons which are too small open display
properties, click appearances, click advanced, open the
dropdown menu for the selector that says desktop, click
icons and increase the size-values for the icon &/or icon-
font. For games, such as the pinball game that comes with
xp click options (above the game window) click fullscreen
or press the F4 button on your keyboard to switch modes.
changing the screen resolution as previously described
above should enlarge all documents text, you can resize
programmes that fill the whole screen by clicking the
central button at the top right of your screen then
positioning your cursor at the bottom right corner of the
window and double clicking then dragging to desired size
(move the window around by doubleclicking and dragging the
title bar)
