Display Picture Cache

This is most definantly not an urgent question, just one to satisfy my
curiousity.
Sometimes my friends have humourous, cute, cool, or otherwise nifty display
pictures, and I like to copy them. Printscreen and paint is a pain. So, I
found a program that somehow magically turns your contacts' cached display
pictures into pngs, that you can save and view at your leisure. However, the
program has some nasty spyware in it, and so I don't want to use it. Since
I've always been the kind of person who is curious as to how things work, a
do it yourself person, I tried to find the cached display pictures, but to no
avail. I can find MY cached display pictures. But I cannot find my contacts'
display pictures. Where might I find them?

I'm not sure of the exact version number, as I'm not home right now, but it's
Version 7.5.x

I checked there in TIF (under the currently logged in user/local
settings/Temporary internet files). First of all, I found not one .dat file,
but a bunch of extensionless files that are being recognized as 'bin files'.
Second, a good portion of those bins are from a URL that has "msn" in it
somewhere. So, I tried openning them in paint, and sure enough, they were
pictures (albiet 96*78 instead of 98*98 like they should be). Also, they are
pictures that I do NOT recognize from anywhere. Am I in the right place? Or
is something funky going on?

Greetings,

For Windows Live Messenger, the cache is stored in \Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\Temp\MessengerCache.

Great, thanks.
