Is there anyway to get around the way excel displays 3D bar charts.....they
look the edges of the bars are not smooth they look like a child drew them
with broken lines....I cut and paste these charts into Powerpoint and my boss
presents these presentations to clients via email attachments and the clients
get to see how rough the bars are.....any ideas?

Thanks in advance...oh, and good working with you all!

Do you make the charts in a new work sheet ?

I never had that issue in xls, but when copying too small pics/charts into
ppt, they will be distorted when resized. Using a new worksheet for charts,
makes them bigger from the start.

In general, you better change the layout of your graph in xls before
copying. Especially when you paste them in e-mails, you also better copy them
as picture.

Yes i do on both your suggestions...i always create the chart in a new
worksheet and then paste them as a picture into ppt......however the problem
is maybe because the charts are TOO LARGE and i can closely see the borders
of the 3D bars up close and how excel draws them....(as a bunch of broken
straight lines that are slightly offset from each other to give the elevation
effect).

I think i might have gotten around it by right clicking when its in ppt and
choose to convert to a MS drawing object......it seems to smooth out the
borders.

Thanks for your suggestions!
