display limited to 16 colors

installed 2000 on my workstation and cant change my display
settings at all.tried to upgrade,didnt work,I know that
normally there is a color management tab.but showing up in
my case please help
 
Since you are providing no specific information, only general advice can be offered -- upgrade your video card (graphics adapter) driver to one written for using that card with Windows 2000. The video card manufacturer's web site is the first place to look.
