Display laptop

When I connect an other display on my laptop, I see
nothing anymore on the screen of the laptop. I remember
that years ago I change something in the settings, but I
forgot where. Can somebody help me ?

"Look for "clone" or "extend" in Display> Settings. Might also find a
separate control panel icon added by the software for the laptop's display
with similar settings.
