Hi

Windows 2000 Professional SP4. I've configured a machine
for multiple users. I had just made the emergency rescue
diskette using Backup and moved a few unwanted menus out
of the "All Users" profile folder in to
the "Administrator" profile folder in "Docs and Setts".
Then I rebooted the machine and the display was inverted
(completely upside down, but only after booting, the pre-
boot splashscreens are the right way up). Looks like I
managed to damage something. How can I get the display
back to normal? I found this question posed several times
in various newsgroups, but ominously, there never seems to
be an answer.
Thanks
Derek

There used to be a prank (and harmless) program that would do this.
You dropped it in someone's startup directory. You might want to look
there (standing on your head of course) and see if anything shows up.

I've a vague recollection of this coming up once before ... a year or
two ago .... either here or in the correcponding Win98 group. If I
recall that turned out not to be a prank program, but unfortunately I
don't recall what it was. I presume you didn't touch your video
settings?

I believe a number of recent cards/drivers have that invert
capability. Perhaps a local prankster in your case if you were
away from the machine?
