I loaded XP fresh on a new computer with an Athlon XP
processor, an AMD 761 + VIA VT8231 dual chip AGPset and an
NVidia Geforce3 based video card. I loaded the AMD driver,
the VIA drivers, and various versions of the NVidia driver
and get a flashing display that doesn't respond to input in
any mode beyond basic VGA. I know the video hardware works
because I have OS/2 installed on the same computer (in a
partition that Windows cannot see) and it runs fine at
1280*1024 with any color resolution I choose.

Is there anything I can do to get XP to work properly? I'm
getting desperate.

I just started having this problem recently after installing a new
power supply. I have very similar hardware. It seems to happen after
the computer has been on for a while, but I really dont think it's due
to overheating. I've got pleanty of fans and a rather big case.
