Hey,

I know it's possible to have My Computer display the
Explorer Bar (folder list) by default when My Computer is
opened. But, I can't remember how to do it. It's not a
choice in Folder Options. I did this once before, by
following the instructions of the guy who set up our
network. But, I just had to flatline my computer and now
that I'm redoing my preferences, I can't figure out how to
display the Explorer Bar by default. And, the guy who
showed me the first time won't tell me again! Does anyone
here have any ideas? I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks,

Matthew

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but you can just click
"folders" and the folder list will open on the left.

Thanks for the reply Branden. I knew about clicking the
Folders button, but that only displays the folder list
after you open My Computer. There's some way to fix it so
that the folder list is already open, by default and
without clicking anything, when you open My Computer.

I guess this isn't a big deal since it's so easy to just
click the Folders button, but I've seen this done and I'd
like to do it again! It just drives me up the wall to not
know how . . . [grin]

Let me know if you figure it out.

Open up your My Computer, select Folders so they appear, click on
Tools>Folder Options, Click on the View tab, Click the "Like Current Folder"
button. This will now (hopefully!?) set every folder up to display the
folders for you.

Hope this helps
