display adaptor re-install

D

Dan

I upgraded my OS from ME to 2000 PRO. I have a Samsung
760V TFT flat-panel monitor.

The problem is I only can go up to 800x600 and 16 colors.

When I go into the device manager, I don't even HAVE
a "monitor" tab so I think I messed up my display adaptor -
How do I restore that?

Are You sure that You have Video-Card drivers installed ?

Anyway, do right-click on desktop and choose properties (or go Control
Panel - Display Settings)
there You will see drivers used for Video Card and Monitor.
"Advanced" button allows to change them (Sure You must have Administrator
grants).

For exampel on my old notebook i'm ok with "S3 Inc / S3 Virge MX" card and
"(generic)/Digital Flash Panel 1024x768" monitor
