This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other
devices on this system.

NVidia Quadro FX 540 on an HP xw4300 workstation (standard hardware) after
an upgrade from XP pro. Two memory ranges are conflicting with the Intel 955X
PCI Express Root Port 2775. Have tried disabling other hardware to free
resources and getting Vista to redetect the card. Tried wiping and
reinstalling from scratch. Have tried different NVidia and Intel drivers.
Tried flashing to latest firmware/bios for the system and nvidia. Have tried
changing to standard vga driver. All other hardware is fine. Installing from
scratch on my other machine works perfectly - the aero interface is great and
I'm really impressed with Vista.

Update.
Changed the card to a Radeon and it works - I get the aero interface and my
dual monitors are working. It's great! However it would be nice to be able to
use my NVidia so I'm still hoping for a fix.

I too am getting that error i have nvidia fx 6200le but still stuck on
vgasave driver . the graphic card works fine on same computer in XP..
Any help is required urgently..

i have downloaded latest drivers but they say may hardware is not compatile
with this driver. infact as i have noticed in Xp my graphic card is on PCI
standard - PCI bridge which is not starting in vista as is says there are not
enough resources availabe to start it.

Doe the system run in safe mode?
How much memory is on the graphics card?
Is your MOBO BIOS at the latest level?

Have you tried manually changing the memory range of one of the conflicting
devices instead of disabling the device? This reminds me of a PC300 I had
that when I first installed Win 95 after a reformat (required maintenance
back then!) the next step was to manually change the memory range. This was
on the advice of IBM regarding a video issue.

Look under the topic:
"Nforce 430, onboard sound card and video card issues"

I posted a possible answer to the problem (it may not work for you, but it
can't hurt to try).
