display adapter installation error

I recently bought an ATI 9200 256 mb display adapter AGP 8X
I installed directx 9.0 before hand
and can't get the drivers installed on my computer.
I have a Intel Pen 4, 2.2 Ghrz CPU 768 Mb Ram using
Windows XP Home Ed. OS. I uninstalled my old video drivers
and followed the instruction on the driver CD before
the driver installation is complete I get a error
message.
SEVERE
Zero service display error
Can anyone tell me if there is something I can do to
find out the problem. Or tell me if there is some
setting I haven't made. HELP PLEASE

First thing I'd do is pull do the latest ATI Catalyst
drivers and give those a shot from ATI's site. Then I'd
double check with your motherboard manufacturer and see if
there are any known issues with the ATI boards.
