I would like dispaly a total of several series on a
stacked bar chart, without having to create a text box and
manually add it. Any ideas?

1. Calculate the totals in your data, then add the totals to the
chart as a new series.
2. Select the Total series, and change the chart type to Line.
3. Select the Line, choose Format>Selected Data Series, and set the
Line to None and Markers to None
4. On the Labels tab, select Value, click OK
5. Select the Data Labels, choose Format>Selected Data Labels,
and align them above the series.

I did it similar to what Debra did with the line chart. It seems like
it should be simple and logical but not so...logically, you should be
able to change them to "text" include them in the chart and they SHOULD
post at the top (developers can you help us out with this?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First, I included the total formula into the stack which will push the
stack way down and make it hard to read.
I right clicked on the chart numbers to change the position of the
numbers to the "center" and then right clicked the axis. I changed the
axis number to a lower number which sent the total area off the chart -
but no problem...
Right click on the total series and change the border to "none" and
color to "none". If the numbers are still too high ... double click
them and drag them down to where you want them.
You can also right click on the total numbers and change the font to
make them stand out more.
I'd try to help, but I can't read the entire thread, and I think
something is missing in these follow ups.
