Dismissed reminders keep coming back - Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 keeps recreating reminders I have previously closed and the
list grows longer, over 3900 . I have use the Run command "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE /cleanreminders" to clear them
which works for a while, but they always return again later.

Do you sync with any hand-held devices?

Try displaying your calendar in a table view like Events and add the Reminders
column. Group by that column so you see all the events with reminders in one
place. Look for any events you can delete. For what remains, see if you can
open the items. If not, delete them.
