Do I really need this MMC and can I get rid of it ??????????? I'm only a solo user with no network to look after .

The source of the problem is that the snap-in is not fully compatible with MMC 3.0, and you most likely have already realized that Windows installed MMC 3.0.

Did my suggestions, in my previous post, not work ?

You can go "play" with 'snap-in' if you like, but I would not be doing so on my PC. ;)

May I suggest you do a bit of reading on 'Microsoft Management Consoles' or, mabe not. :p

Yup read up on MMC and its like double dutch to me .
Diwnloaded and installed from the link you gave .
Now I can't get to see the DK prog . Every time I click on the shortcut a box appeares telling me that "two instances of the prog can not run at the same time" So I've no idea whats going on . Guess I could uninstall and reinstall but then I'd have to set the darn thing up again . Darn Belloni for his post on defragging its his fault I got into this .
