Hi,

After hearing about this program in another group, anyone here use it? any
good?

The beta version( you have to sign up as a business to get the right option)
seems to work with x64. It said it was doing something and the picture
looked prettier after it "did its thing"

All that technobable mumbo-jumbo...

Thanks for the information. I was able to download the correct version.

I have it installed in both x86 and x64.
However, I don't really think it accomplishes
anything. I have ran it several times and
although it runs for quite awhile, afterwards
the drive looks like it before I ran DisKeeper.

This version is not a 30 or 60 day trial. It is
for the Vista CPP/Beta.

Running the Windows 2000 defrag on my Vista volume now. Getting lots of
blue. Started out completely red after the Vista defrag ran last night.
I'll see if I can boot back in when completed.

I've been using it for a couple of days. Seems to work really well. Even
though I had been using the built-in Vista defragmenter my system volume
was still extremely fragmented. The first time I ran Diskeeper there were
thousands of fragmented files scattered all over the volume. I think I'll
use the SET IT AND FORGET IT option and let it do its thing automatically.

Booted ok. I think a defrag, run under earlier NT will defrag the drive
well. Another plus for dual booting when beta is installed.

If you are dual booting with XP, I suggest you use Set and Forget only on
the Vista system volume since you don't want your XP volume treated as a
data volume. Then when you are in XP use Set and Forget there for only the
XP system volume. That also ensures that the performance maps makes sense.
There are some really good reports. Give the fragments report about a week
and then evaluate.

I do my data volumes manually. Just a thought.

I used the Vista defragmenter and it did nothing. Went to Diskkeeper right
away and no problem what so ever. Using 86.

Got my Diskeeper Beta up and running in background mode.

Thanks for the help, Zapper!
