Disk won't boot

I got the windows xp cd and am trying to install it on an old packerd bell from 95 anyway the disk won't boot and i have set the BIOS to run the cd first please help
 
Does your old Packard Bell meet the XP minimum specifications? Did you run
the Xp upgrade Advisor from the disk to check if XP can be installed? I
have a old Packard Bell (US) and it's set to live the remainder of it's life
running Win 98. I don't know about yours , as it is definitely older than
mine , but mine is bios locked to the Packard Bell install disk. Jym
