CD-ROM disc tray won't open
To open a CD-ROM drive disc tray:
Make sure the PC is turned on. The light inside the On
button should be turned on.
Press firmly on the Eject button near the disc tray.
Restart the PC. Click Start on the taskbar, click Turn
Off Computer, and then click Restart. If there is a light
on the front of the drive, wait for it to turn off before
you try to eject the disc tray.
If your CD-ROM drive is not receiving power, is not
working properly, or if a disc is jammed, you may need to
manually open the disc tray. To manually open a disc tray:
Close all programs and turn off the PC.
Unplug the PC from the power outlet.
Insert a straightened paper clip into the manual release
hole (not into an LED light) on the CD-ROM drive face
plate until you feel resistance and continue to push
until the disc tray is part of the way out. If necessary,
remove the front panel of the PC to access the release
hole.
Remove the paper clip.
Gently pull the edges of the disc tray until it is all
the way out.

Great advice! Unfortunately, it doesn't apply since this person is
asking about a Floppy drive and NOT a CD-ROM.

It may be your floppy label is peeling off and sticking or bunching up
preventint it from ejecting. Regardless, the only thing that will get
that thing out of there, short of removing the drive and disassembling
it, is persaverence on your part.

It is also possible that the shutter on the diskette is
sprung and stopping the ejection.
