sata drivers not included?
I had major problems with Suse 10.1 32bit with my system. I made the linux
partition and did a backup before install (luckily). I have no idea what
happened, but the linux install completely fubared my XP install. I have 4
sata drives in 2 raid arrays and 2 single ide drives, one of which had the
linux partition and another with my XP Pro install. I have installed linux
of various releases many times, but this is the first time with sata raid
arrays. Suse 10.1 pretty much just ignored the sata drives, but I think it
tried to put a swap file and grub on one of them (or something weird). I
couldn't get XP back at all. I tried to fix the mbr and boot, even tried a
repair install to no avail. If linux goes on anything from now on it will be
one of my older systems that are not being used at the moment for anything
critical.
