Disk open/search

I recently installed Windows XP Professional after a number of problems with
my previous installation. I also added a Buffalo USB External 250Gb hard
drive.

Now, in My Computer, when I double click on a disk icon I get a Search
window instead of opening the disk. When I right click, the icon, instead of
'Open Explore Search' with 'Open' in bold, I get 'Search Open Explore' with
'Search' in bold. Is there any way I can change this so that 'Open' is at the
top and a double-click opens the disk/drive?

Thanks

Thanks to you both for such a speedy reply.

Ayush, your fix worked like a dream. Instant success!

Thomas, I tried your tweak which didn't do the job, but then I realised it's
really for folders and perhaps the registry item for drives is different.
Thanks for making the effort and for directing me to
