While trying to save a 740K XL file on a floppy, I get the 'Disk is Full'
error box and then 'file not saved' box. The file will copy to the floppy
after formatting, but any changes to the file will not work. Even if I open
from floppy, no changes will save. Yes it was 1.44 floppy. Any ideas.
Thanks...

Hi Bill,

It's not a good idea to open or save workbooks directly from/to a floppy
disk. There are too many things that can go wrong and cause you to
irrecoverably loose your work. Save to your hard disk and copy back and
forth from your hard disk to your floppy disk.

The specific problem in your case is that Excel is trying to save a
temporary file associated with the open workbook and that is at least as
large as that workbook to the floppy disk. If there isn't enough room on the
disk for both the workbook and the temporary file, all save operations will
fail.
